Information for Parents
Our commitment is to ensure that children and their families are set-up for success. 123 Baby Talks partners with families in their child’s development. Part of that partnership is providing parents with the resources and support needed to ensure their child’s progress and success.
Eligible hours of care are based on parent’s working hours plus one half hour for picking up of your child. For example: If your working or school hours are 9:00am-4:30pm then your eligible hours of care are 8:30am-5:00pm.

Hours of Operation
The 123 Baby Talk administrative office and the center is open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Home-base services, however, are scheduled between the parent and the service provider.

Communication
Open communication between parents and staff is strongly encouraged. Our team is here to act as your parents in this process ready to answer any questions you have.

EIOD
The Early Intervention Official Designee (EIOD) works for the NYC Early Intervention Program and is responsible for making sure that eligible children have an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meeting.

Service Coordination
The Service Coordinators (SC) will identify the Concerns, Priorities, and resources for the family to facilitate services through the Early Intervention Program and outside of the Early Intervention Program.

The New York Early Intervention Program is designed for you and your child. When working with us be sure to follow these dos and don’ts to get the best out of the program.
Dos
- Consider your Service Coordinator as an advocate for you and your children throughout your entire time in the program.
- Share your specific concerns with your Service Coordinator, Evaluators, and Service Providers so they are better able to meet your child’s needs
- Ask your Service Coordinator, Evaluators, Early Intervention Official Designee (EIOD), and Service Provider any clarifying questions you may have. They’re here to help.
- Get the most out of this program by getting started early. The first three-years of your child’s life are the most important developmental years. Let us help you.
Donts
This process can seem daunting. Don’t think you’re alone in this. You have the best team in the industry working with you and your child.
Assume that you’re alone. There are many parents who have children with developmental needs. It can be challenging, but you’re going to be just fine.
Cancel your child’s services once they are scheduled. These are the most important developmental years of your child’s life. Take advantage of this program -- there’s no cost to you.
